Fire Protection Services

Fire protection is the study of the properties of fire scenarios and the ways to effectively contain or extinguish various fire situations. 

We design custom fire protection systems based on the fire size calculations and building characteristics to obtain the best solution for our client’s specific needs.

There are several sub catagories under fire protection services. Below are the systems and properties that we design to provide a complete fire protection design. 

We design smoke ventilation systems to control smoke levels to allow sufficient time  for the occupants of the building to evacuate. We use either smoke ventilation fans to mechanical remove the smoke, or we design natural ventilation systems which use natural cross flow and the heat of the fire to ventilate the area of smoke. 

Fire escapes and the position of fire doors and extinguishers fall under the fire protection services. We use South African National Standards Regulations to design fire escape routes to keep the distances short enough to allow sufficient evacuation times.

We design complete sprinkler systems to control or extinguish the flames of the fire to prevent loss of life and property damage.
